#1 - Censorship
Synopsis: The News Stand in Bellingham was cited in a suit for carrying a (at the time) little read magazine that describes rape scenes in graphic detail. Many agendas were served in the prosecution of an obviously innocent party. They were found innocent, but the hell they went through show the undemocratic nature of our censorship laws.

#2 - The Criminal Justice Bill
Synopsis: England's Criminal Justice Bill does away with what American's would refer to as civil liberties. The Conservatives in England didn't expect that the young people targeted by this law would actually manage to respond in any sort of constructive fashion. The story is about the fact that they did.

#3 - Politics: You're soaking in it.
Synopsis: It is popular in some sectors of our society to state, "I am not political." In reality, every choice we make day-to-day supports one political agenda or another. It can be exhausting to attempt to remain fully aware at all times of the implications, fall-out, and ramifications of our thoughts, speech, and actions. The point of this show is to offer suggestions on how to be political without becoming a political machine.

Synopsis: The attack on welfare as a cause of all our problems is inaccurate and laughable. Welfare accounts for a tiny portion of the countryÌs wealth and all the money that these kids get goes right back out as rent and food. We attempt to reframe the debate and ask the question, "What is economic justice and whoÌs going to get it?"

#6 - The Anatomy of Radical
Synopsis: There are a few things that every successful era of change has in common. In this show we look at the two distinct personalities which must be present to bring the masses toward a beautiful new reality: The Radical and the Not-So-Radical. Martin Luther King was very effective because Malcolm X was there defining the outer limits. Gandhi worked well because Nehru was scarring everybody. Gay Rights has a future as long as there are ACT-UP and Stonewall. The right figured this out and used it very effectively in the 80's and promoted the far right sections of the populace to make the near right seem centrist.

Synopsis: How many years from now will this seem like a really stupid question? We discuss how this is an issue important to some queers but hint at that fact that the question is really being raised by those opposed to gay rights. It's a wedge issue.

Food, Air, Water, and Shelter are basic needs. No one will have the strength of will to fight for a country they live in if they don't have an address in that country. Suppose for a moment that improving the standard of living included assuring that all people have access to all the parts of the pyramid of needs.
